These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CarloInvite at carloinvite.com ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What CarloInvite Is

CarloInvite is a digital invitation platform. It lets you create interactive, animated invitation pages for personal celebrations such as birthdays and anniversaries. Invitations are shared via unique URLs and automatically expire after a period you choose.

2. Acceptable Use

You may use CarloInvite for personal, non-commercial celebrations. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for spam, phishing, harassment, or any illegal purpose
  • Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, or violates any third party's rights
  • Upload photos or content of individuals without their consent
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service
  • Create invites that impersonate others or contain false information intended to deceive
  • Use automated tools to create bulk invitations without our prior written consent

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, messages, names). By uploading content, you grant CarloInvite a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display that content solely to serve your invite to its recipients.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any photos or content you upload. Do not upload photos of people without their consent.

4. Free and Premium Tiers

Free tier: Creating and sharing invitations using our standard templates is free. The free tier is supported by advertising displayed on our website (not inside invites).

Premium tier (coming soon): Premium features — including custom designs, RSVP tracking, and AI prompt design — are available for a one-time fee of $2 per invite. No subscription required. Pricing is subject to change before launch.

5. Data and Privacy

Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms. By using the Service, you agree to our data practices as described there, including our use of Google Analytics and Google AdSense.

Invite data is automatically deleted after the expiry period you set. We do not retain invite content beyond expiry.

6. Advertising

The free tier of CarloInvite is supported by advertising. Ads appear on our website pages (homepage, blog, create page). Ads do not appear inside the invite experience viewed by your guests.

We use Google AdSense for ad serving. By using our site, you acknowledge that Google may use cookies to serve you relevant ads.

7. Intellectual Property

CarloInvite's templates, designs, code, animations, SVG artwork, and content are owned by CarloInvite and protected by copyright. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our templates or design assets.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that invite links will always be accessible. Invites expire — plan accordingly.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarloInvite shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any damages from lost invites, failed deliveries, or expired links.

10. Changes to the Service

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
